Balanced Bites is a class developed for patients seeking to improve their diabetes and will combine nutrition and cooking skills to help you manage your condition. You’ll learn meal combinations and how to adjust recipes to keep your glucose levels in range. This class will include a cooking component, as well as provide brief education on carbohydrates and insulin resistance. Led by a dietitian and chef, you’ll leave this class with more confidence to self-manage your glucose levels through practical tips and new recipes.
After you take our “Crazy for Crepes” class, we will show you will no longer be intimidated by crepes! They’re surprisingly simple to make, packed with protein, and incredibly versatile! Perfect for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even snacks, crepes are a fun and adaptable option for any meal. In this hands-on class, we’ll learn a basic crepe recipe and easy cooking techniques that will help you confidently make both sweet and savory crepes at home.
We’ll try a variety of filling and topping combinations, from fresh berries and cheese to sautéed vegetables, scrambled eggs, and other flavorful ingredients. You’ll discover simple ways to customize crepes to fit your preferences, whether you’re looking to add more protein, reduce added sugar, or incorporate more vegetables into your meals.
You’ll leave with practical techniques, creative flavor ideas, and plenty of inspiration to keep experimenting in your own kitchen.

- Participants will be provided with all ingredients and appliances needed to prepare and cook a delicious, complete meal.
- At the end of the class, all participants will enjoy their meal together and leave with a copy of the recipe to recreate at home.
