Balanced Bites is a class developed for patients seeking to improve their diabetes and will combine nutrition and cooking skills to help you manage your condition. You’ll learn meal combinations and how to adjust recipes to keep your glucose levels in range. This class will include a cooking component, as well as provide brief education on carbohydrates and insulin resistance. Led by a dietitian and chef, you’ll leave this class with more confidence to self-manage your glucose levels through practical tips and new recipes.
In our “Grain Bowls” class discover how to build delicious, satisfying grain bowls in this hands-on cooking class focused on simple, balanced meals that are easy to customize for your dietary needs. Grain bowls combine a base, vegetables, protein, and flavorful toppings into a low carb and high protein meal. They are a great option for meal prep, using leftovers, or creating quick weeknight meals.
Together we’ll learn how to build a bowl step-by-step, and you’ll try combinations of ingredients and techniques that can help you create endless variations at home to fit your macronutrient needs, whether you’re looking to add more protein, reduce added sugar, or incorporate more vegetables into your meals.
If you enjoy simple meals, fresh seasonal ingredients, or trying new combinations, this class is for you.
