Whole Heart Cooking – Explore the principles of the Mediterranean diet, celebrated for promoting heart health, supporting fertility, and reducing the risk of chronic disease. Taught by both a chef and a dietitian, this class combines culinary skills with practical nutrition insights while featuring delicious, heart-healthy recipes.
In this “Minestrone Soup and Flat Bread” class will visit one of the Blue Zone areas: Sardinia, Italy. Inspired by the Blue Zones, which are regions of the world where people tend to live longer, healthier, and happier lives, this hands-on cooking class explores the flavors and traditions of Sardinia. Together, we’ll prepare a recipe rooted in familial Sardinian cuisine while learning about the foods and preparation techniques often associated with heart health and longevity. To close the class, we’ll experience food the Blue Zones way: with a mindful, communal meal shared together.
Whether you’re curious about global food traditions or looking for inspiration for healthier eating, you’ll leave with a meaningful recipe and a deeper appreciation for the connection between food, culture, and well-being.
